National Museum Leskovac
The National Museum in Leskovac is a regional museum heritage institution with a vision to contribute to the development of modern society, presenting knowledge about Leskovac and the Leskovac region in an interesting and attractive way to the local population, but also to the wider community.
It was founded on May 2, 1948, by the city of Leskovac, and following legal regulations, it performs its activities directly and through its museum departments. The National Museum in Leskovac is a museum of complex type, which has departments for archaeology, ethnology, history, art history, as well as departments for conservation and restoration work, documentation, professional work with the audience, and a library. The National Museum in Leskovac is a proud holder of over 200 awards and recognitions, four times it has been named the best museum in Serbian. Due to the large offer of content for people with disabilities, it was also declared the most accessible museum in Serbia.
