Winery Matalj

Matalja Winery grows its vineyards in three vineyards of the Negotin Krajina. The Mihajlovac vineyard, which is characterized by structural soil composed mainly of river deposits of gravel, sand, and clay, creates conditions for optimal ripening and preservation of acidity and freshness of white grape varieties.

Rajačko's vineyards, which are characterized by very sunny summers, and long and dry autumns, combined with the soil, favor the late ripening of red grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, from which their strongest Kremen wine is made.

The youngest so far is located directly above the Bukovo Monastery in a location that has long been known for the best conditions for top-quality grapes. The black varieties, Prokupac, Začinak, and Četereska (Kadarka) are grown here, as well as the old, almost extinct, white variety Bagrina.

Their labels are, Terasa - Chardonnay, Terasa Sauvignon Blanc, Kremen Kamen, Kremen Cabernet, Dušica Rose, Bagrina Bukovska, Crna Tamjanik, Začinak Bukovski.
